The OEM intake is low because the stock Jimny is tuned around emissions, noise, and urban use. That placement becomes fragile when the vehicle moves through water, dust, or sand: river crossings threaten water ingestion, while storms and powder tracks overload the air filter.
The Salado Snorkel Kit moves the intake path upward by replacing the OEM hood trim panel instead of cutting the fender or reworking the intake system. The Standard Head prioritizes airflow for water, mud, and clean-air use. The Pre-Cleaner Head uses cyclonic airflow to separate heavier dust and sand before they reach the filter. A silicone intake hose supports -30°C to +60°C use, keeping the system sealed across winter convoys and desert heat.
Two Interchangeable Heads
