A roof rack is incomplete without a designed way to reach it. The OEM tailgate opens and carries the spare tire, but its hinge geometry and tire position were not made for climbing. Using side bars or the tailgate as improvised steps turns access into a workaround.
The Salado Rear Ladder Kit completes the roof-load system by giving the tailgate a dedicated climbing structure. Its clearance geometry avoids conflict with spare tires up to 235/75, and the reinforced anti-sag bracket addresses the load risk of mounting a tall ladder on a small vehicle. Flag pole, radio antenna, and auxiliary light points are built into the ladder so convoy, recovery, and work-light functions share one rear structure.

Includes flag pole mount, radio antenna mount, and pre-configured auxiliary light points at the top of the ladder. Ready for overland convoy duty.
Clearance geometry accommodates spare tire sizes up to 235/75 off-road tires. No conflict with oversized spares on the tailgate.
Reinforced bracket supports the ladder under load — addressing the sag risk that comes from mounting a tall ladder on a small vehicle.
